St. Joseph ParishPlayground & The Garden
In the Spring of 2018, we
asked for student participation in defraying the cost of the playground. The idea was that students could ask donors for a minimum of $12 a month for 10 months or $10 a month for 12 months. Some students received more from the donors they approached! We ended up raising nearly $10,000! A sign acknowledging the efforts of the students is now prominently displayed at the playground!
When the Rectory was renovated and expanded, a new playspace and garden was also developed. The preschool children love to visit the Garden to play, learn about nature, and see the garden grow. They also have the opportunity in the spring to plant seeds and learn about the lifecycle of plants.
